    Lego Aircraft Carrier
    blog

Pictures here. Wow. I used to love legos but I never came close to building anything like this. Heck, I probably couldn't have built the little airplanes without detailed instructions.

    Everest Season
    blog

Read this story on ESPN this morning. Not really surprising, having read Into Thin Air, that people passed him on the way up and didn't help. Crazy what some people do.

    Summer of Code
    blog

Google's Summer of Code is back up and running this year. I guess 630 or so students are being sponsored to do some pretty cool-looking projects. I think it's an awesome thing that Google's doing... take a look at that page and see all the open source projects that are getting a summer's worth of (hopefully) dedicated work from students. The list is all over the map... I'm glad to see a bunch of smaller projects (some Zaurus stuff is in there) along with bigger ones (Python, Apache, etc...).

    Hilarious
    blog

With my new found love of craigs list, I stumbled upon the best of craigs list and can't stop reading them. Hilarious. Especially the piano one since Mystique and I kind of went through that in moving from Bozeman to Phoenix. We put a load of stuff in the paper for free which causes all sorts of fun. Specifically, calls at 6am "reserving" things (dog kennel was incredibly popular), and unkept promises to come by for something "I really want." Bah.

    Reruns Online
    blog

This story is pretty interesting... in selling the rerun rights to Two and a Half Men, any station purchasing them will be allowed to stream the shows online in addition to broadcasting them. I guess it's the first time that's been written into a deal... pretty cool. We'll see how it works out, but I kind of like the direction it's going.
